Compassionate solutions for your loved ones.

I’m here to help.

For many of us, there comes a time when we realize that our parent or loved one needs some extra help, something beyond what we have been providing or are able to provide. I partner with family caregivers to help them determine what their parent needs and then how to implement that plan. I know what it is like to have a million questions and not know where to start, and I also know what it is like to have someone whom you can turn to, someone who can help you find the answers. Whether you live close by or at a distance, it can be a challenge to figure out what to do; I can help.

As the founder of Westchester Senior Home Care I offer geriatric care management, and if the care plan includes a caregiver, then I can find and help you hire a kind and competent caregiver who will enhance both your loved one’s well-being, and your peace of mind. I will be your “eyes and ears,” constantly assessing and communicating with you about what I believe is needed. If your parent doesn’t yet need a caregiver, but needs help managing things, I can be their personal “concierge” — helping them maintain their independence by finding solutions to the challenges of aging-in-place. I also help families navigate challenging family dynamics and relationships. Perhaps most important, as your personal “go-to” person, I am your resource for all the aging related issues, questions and concerns you may have. With my depth of contacts and professional affiliations, when I don’t have the answer or solution, I know where to turn to get you what you need.

I am a Professional Member of ALCA (the Aging Life Care Association®) and a Certified Senior Advisor (CSA)®. I am also a social worker and have been a communication consultant.

“Susan was invaluable in sourcing primary and back up round the clock care for my mother. In addition to finding and vetting the care providers, she managed their shifts, made sure they were doing the job as required, and helped guide us with compensation levels. She is professional, caring and conscientious and therefore a tremendous resource for someone trying to manage complicated elder care situations.”
